Man Charged with Two Clinton Burglaries

 Clinton Public Safety has made an arrest in connection with two burglaries in town during December and February. 23-year-old Arthur Lee Williams III “Winnie” of #5A at 1045 A.B. Jacks Road, Clinton is charged with 1st Degree Burglary from an incident this Wednesday and with 2nd Degree Burglary from a break-in in December. He’s also charged with Two Counts of Grand Larceny and with Resisting Arrest on Wednesday of this week. 

  Regarding the 1st Degree Burglary, Arthur Lee Williams III is accused of entering a dwelling at Ray’s Hallow without consent on February 6th and carried away two gold necklaces, a silver necklace, two gold bracelets, a pair of diamond earrings and a gold ring with combined value of $2,080 with intent to deprive the owner.

  Regarding the 2nd Degree Burglary, Williams allegedly entered a location on in the 800 block of North Broad Street on December 7th 2012 and took three televisions and a lap top with combined value of $2,000.

Bond was denied on all five charges. He is in the Johnson Detention Center.

“Winnie” Williams was also served with two Bench Warrant from Clinton Municipal Court last July with sentences of 30 and 60 days on Simple Possession of Marijuana and Driving Under Suspension convictions last July.
