Laurens City Police yesterday arrested a young woman in connection with multiple alleged drug violations over this past fall. 25-year-old Megan Nicole “Meg” Erhard was booked with a current address at 801 Vern Cora Road, Laurens, while with a previous address noted on warrants on South Harper Street. She is charged with two incidents of drug distribution and three counts of attempting to purchase illegal amounts of a non-prescription substance.
Charges include Distribution of Methamphetamine and Distribution within Proximity of a Park. Detective Leann Riggott states that on October 16, 2012 defendant distributed a quantity of methamphetamine to a confidential informant working in conjunction with the Laurens Police Department. This allegedly occurred at 700 Fleming Street in Laurens, within a half mile of Brownlee Park.
Other charges are Distribution of a Controlled Substance and Distribution within Proximity of a School. Megan Nicole Erhard is accused of distributing a quantity of a schedule II controlled substance to a confidential informant working in conjunction with Laurens City Police on October 18, 2012 at 103 Owings Street in Laurens, which is within a half mile of E.B. Morse Elementary School.
She is also facing tree Counts of Attempt to Purchase Illegal Amounts of Ephedrine. Detective Riggott states that Megan Nicole Erhard attempted to purchase more than 9 grams of ephedrine products within a thirty day period, and cited dates of October 25th, December 9th and December 15th, 2012. “Meg” Erhard remained in the Johnson Detention Center, pending arraignment on the charges.
