A woman who lives on Highway 56 in the 8300 address range south of Clinton came home last evening to discover items that appeared to be used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the location at 11:25 last night. Lt. Higgenbotham reportedly found a green mountain dew bottle with a tube coming from the top, commonly referred to as a generator in the methamphetamine world. Corporal Moye arrived and began to photograph the evidence of a meth lab. Sgt. Veal of Narcotics was alerted to the scene. He arrived and handled disposal of the dangerous substances. The investigation is continuing.
