Laurens County Deputies were dispatched to Round Street at 11:03 yesterday morning, where a Gray Court woman claimed her boyfriend threw coffee on her at a location on Round Street, Laurens where she had dropped him off. She further alleged that when she grabbed him to get her daughter from him, he turned and punched her in the face. The man reportedly claimed the coffee slipped from his hand. After investigation, deputies arrested 31-year-old Bobby Ray “Bob” Bohanon Jr., but also had a Linda Drive address noted on the warrant and incident report. Bohanon was charged with 3rd Offense Criminal Domestic Violence. He is accused of assaulting the victim at 100 Round Street by throwing coffee on her and punching her in the face, causing imminent peril and fear for her life. This is reportedly the third domestic violence offense for Bobby Ray Bohanon Jr. in a ten-year period. He remained in the Johnson Detention Center earlier today, pending a bond hearing on the domestic violence charge.
