Laurens Police were dispatched to Marion Street on a domestic assault incident at 10:42 yesterday morning. A man said he and his girlfriend were arguing and that he left driving his car. He said the girlfriend followed him down Marion Street in her SUV and that she swiped the driers side of his vehicle on purpose because of the argument. He indicated his car received $2500 in damages, but he was not hurt and he didn’t want to press charges for any assault. The woman admitted to striking the boyfriend/s car on purpose because she was upset. During the investigation, Officer James Nolen discovered the woman’s license was suspended for cancellation of insurance. He arrested her on a Driving under Suspension charge.
