A Laurens man was arrested yesterday for allegedly possession marijuana packaged for distribution, and also served with bench warrants from previous offenses. 34-year-old James O’Neal “Tobie” Wright of 134 Dragon Trail, Laurens was arrested by the Laurens County Sheriff’s office. In a warrant, Deputy Nicholas Moye states that on February 17th one James O’Neil Wright did possess marijuana with intent to distribute. The marijuana was allegedly in nine different baggies for distribution.
Meanwhile, James Wright was also served with General Sessions Court Bench Warrants citing Failure to Appear for Court on November 2nd, 2012. These included regarding a charge of Drug Distribution, Drug Manufacture and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Wright was being held in the Johnson Detention Center to face a bond hearing today regarding the new charge from yesterday of Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana.
