Laurens City Police were dispatched to investigate a Burglary on Lee Street just before 7 last evening. A resident told Officer Thibodeau that they had returned from being out-of-town and gone straight to bed. It wasn’t until they awoke yesterday morning that they realized someone had taken items from the house. A Sony Playstation 3 with two controllers, an air rifle and a Smith and Wesson .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun were missing. They reported observing a window in the middle bedroom of the house unlocked but didn’t think anything of it when they returned home Sunday evening. Value of the stolen items was set at $1,000. The theft reportedly happened sometime on or since February 12th.
