Now a follow-up on a case of someone accused of having a dangerous animal. A Union County woman was booked in the Laurens County Detention Center yesterday on Bench Warrants from Magistrate’s Court. The warrants state that 28-year-old Rhonda Maybelle Bellew of 206 Mill Street, Buffalo was convicted in Laurens County on a charge of Possessing Dangerous Animals and on another charge for Contempt of Magistrate’s Court. The October 4th, 2012 conviction for Possession of Dangerous Animals received a sentence from Judge Paul Dean Lyles of a $350 fine or 30 days in jail, plus an order to pay restitution of $475.00. The Contempt of Magistrate’s Court sentence was for $1,000 fine or 30 days in jail. Rhonda Bellew remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
