A Laurens District 55 High School student was arrested yesterday on charges of doing thousands of dollars worth of damage to cars at the school last Friday, the vehicles belonging to teachers or other adult employees of the school. 17-year-old Johnny DeWayne Thompson of 226 Lombarley Road, Gray Court was served with warrants that totaled eight charges of Malicious Damage. Deputy T.W. Alexander states in the warrants that Johnny DeWayne Thonpson willfully and maliciously did $2,000 in damage to each victim’s car by keying the vehicle at Laurens High School on February 15th. Johnny Thompson was being held for a bond hearing today on the eight charges.
