Clinton Public Safety was dispatched to the Jacobs Highway business area at 2 yesterday afternoon on a report that a man was begging for money. Sgt. Prather reportedly observed the man making contact with people as he reportedly made contact with people are different stores, then observed him allegedly asking for money from a construction worker operating a piece of equipment. The 41-year-old Clinton man was then arrested on a Loitering charge and placed in City Jail.
