A Gray Court woman and two Gray Court men were arrested yesterday on multiple drug charges. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested 56-year-old James Roy Spurgeon Jr., also known as “Dump” and 20-year-old Johnathan Ray Gilreath, both of 168 Gray Drive, Gray Court. Also charged in the case is 42-year-old Tammy Blinda Lopez, with addresses noted at 168 Gray Drive and on Hickory Downs Road. All three have been charged with seven counts, Possession of a Controlled Substance and with one case, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute. In warrants, Sheriff’s Narcotics Officer Matt Veal states that both James Spurgeon Jr., Johnathan Gilreath and Tammy Lopez were in possession of marijuana with intent to distribute on January 31st at their residence on Gray Drive, Gray Court. All three are also charged with being in possession of various controlled substances on the same date at their residence. They are accused of being in possession of 21 Hydrocodone, 9.5 7.5mg Hydrocodone, 2 1mg Xanax, 37 2mg Xanax, one Clonzepam, three 7.5mg oxycodone and twenty 30 mg Morphine.
Tammy Blinda Lopez, James Roy “Dump” Spurgeon Jr. and Johnathan Ray Gilreath were being held in the Johnson Detention Center earlier today, pending arraignment on the charges.
