The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to King Road, Joanna at 7:55 yesterday morning on a report of a motor vehicle theft. A man said that he had gone to the auction in Joanna the previous night and his truck was parked in between his barn and other buildings. He said that yesterday morning he went outside the leave and noticed his truck was gone. He checked four other vehicles and found that someone had gone through them. Corporal Christy Johnson reported finding a beer bottle on the ground where the truck had been that had apparently been thrown there by a subject.
Investigators arrived on scene and began to collect evidence. The stolen truck was identified as a red 2004 Chevy Silverado. It had a tool box on the back and a black CB antenna on the tool box. A silver horse shoe sticker was on back of the truck, just above a hitch. The back window of the truck reportedly had a Vietnam Veteran’s sticker and a Harley Davidson sticker. Value of the stolen truck was listed as $8,300.
