Assault by Beer Can

   Clinton Public Safety arrested a Clinton woman around 1:20 yesterday morning in connection with an alleged assault on another woman on February 21^st. 31-year-old Sabrina Denice Byrd of West Chase Apartments, Phillips Street was charged with Simple Assault. Public Safety Officer Ritter alleges in a warrant that Ms. Byrd threw a beer can and struck another woman in the face. She is also accused of throwing the victim to the ground and striking her several times in the face and body with a closed fist. Sabrina Byrd was released from City Jail later yesterday morning on a $470 personal recognizance bond.
