Clinton Woman Defrauded of Over $3,200

   A Columbia man was booked yesterday on charges he defrauded a woman of over $3,000 during an incident at a Clinton area address last summer. The Laurens County Sheriff’s office has served a charge of Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent on 46-year-old Darrell Anderson of Fernandina Road, Columbia. Deputy T.A. Alexander states that on August 6, 2012 Darrell Anderson received in trust a check valued at more than $3,277 belonging to the victim and appropriated the check to his own use with intent to deprive her. Darrell Anderson was being held overnight pending arraignment today.
