“Active Meth Lab” Outside Clinton Last Night

  Three people were arrested last night from an allegedly active meth lab in the Clinton area. Officers went to 186 Hazelwood Drive, following up on  information that Cpl Nick Moye had received regarding concerns of  possible drug activity at the location. Lt. Higgenbotham, Cpl Moye, Sgt. Johnston and State Constable Michael Douglas reportedly arrived at the scene around 10:30 last night to find a methamphetamine lab in operation. They arrested two men and one woman who were reportedly found at the scene and placed them in the Johnson Detention Center overnight. They were being held pending warrants being obtained. Deputies are seeking eight charges for each of the three. These include Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Illegal Disposal of Methamphetamine Waste, Use of a Weapon during a Violent Crime, Possession of Less than One Ounce of Methamphetamine, two Counts Possession of a Schedule II controlled Substance and single counts for Possession of Schedule III and Schedule IV Controlled Substances.

  Being held for these charges were two men who live at the alleged crime scene, 20-year-old Ernesto Roger Sanchez and 21-year-old Houston Kyle Motes, both of 186 Hazelwood Drive, Clinton.  Also held was 18-year-old Shannon Olivia Simmons of 141 Post Drive, Clinton.

    Houston Kyle Motes is facing a 9th warrant, being sought to charge him with being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Gun. Ernesto Roger Sanchez was reportedly already wanted for a Simple Possession of Marijuana charge.

   Illicit drugs were confiscated from the scene, along with a shotgun, three rifles, two pistols and ammunition. A state clean-up crew arrived to properly dispose of the meth lab.
