Homeless Woman Gets a Bed for the Night

A Sheriff’s Officer was dispatched to a Conway Avenue residence at 9:37 last night on a report of a disturbance. A tenant at the location advised he wanted the 26-year old woman, who did not live there, to leave the location. She allegedly became aggressive, slamming her fist together and cursing in front of small children. Lt. Higgenbotham and Cpl Moye advised the woman to leave several times during their visit. The young woman then reportedly said she had no where to go, so “take me to jail.” She was again advised to take her things and leave. She allegedly went through the house continuing to use profane language and talking trash to the officers. She was then placed in custody and charged with Breach of Peace. She was spending the night in the Johnson Detention Center.
