A report filed at the Sheriff’s Office yesterday indicates an investigation is underway in connection with an apparent breach of trust case. A Gray Court area man reported Tuesday that he had loaned his car to his daughter last Friday, with her to return it by 8pm Tuesday; but she did not return it as expected. The car value was listed at $2,000. Furthermore, the man indicates someone came into his unlocked house when he wasn’t home around 3pm yesterday and took between $50 to $60 worth of change. The man indicated he suspects the daughter or her boyfriend. The case was being referred for further investigation.
