According to sheriff’s office reports, a complaintant in theDurbin Road, Fountain Inn area reported an attempted home invasion around 1pm yesterday. Deputy Summers arrived on the scene and talked with the complaintant who stated his mother called him around 12:25 and told him the alarm company had called stating the alarm was going off at a residence they owned across the street. the complaintants mother then went over and saw that the back window was up. when the son arrived, he called dispatch to report the break in. Lt. McKintosh, who was already on the scene advised the complaintant that Sgt Alexander was en route to process the scene for finger prints. It appeared to the deputies on scene that the alarm scared off the subject or subjects before they made entry into the house. the incident will be turned over to investigations for a follow up.
