A domestic assault from last September is cited in a warrant served on a Joanna man yesterday. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Robert Lamont Goggins of 101 South Ellis Street, Joanna yesterday afternoon, serving him with the charge of Criminal Domestic Violence. Deputy Michael Crocket states that on September 20th, 2012 Robert Lamont Goggins knowingly and willfully caused injury to his live-in girlfriend. He allegedly used his fist to strike her in the face, causing her to hit her head against a brick wall several times. The victim was also eight months pregnant.
Robert Lamont Goggins was being held overnight in the Johnson Detention Center, pending arraignment.
