Laurens City Police yesterday arrested a woman in connection with a case of prescription forgery from last September. 24-year-old Elizabeth Blair Griffin of 69 Mineral Springs Road, Laurens was charged with Obtaining Drugs by Fraud. Laurens Police Detective Walter Bentley states that the defendant did forge an existing prescription by adding Lortab to the prescription and by attempting to obtain the pills at Rite-Aid on North Harper September 14, 2012. Elizabeth Griffin was being held in the Johnson Detention Center overnight, pending a court appearance this morning.
