Laurens County Sheriff’s Deputy Johnny Brewington was dispatched to a Waterloo residence at 8:17 yesterday morning on a report that a woman had been assaulted by her adult son when he came home the previous evening. The deputy arrived to find the woman sitting in her wheel chair with a large knot on her head, and broken glass on the floor. EMS was called and transported her for treatment of the injury. 45-year-old Danny Edward Morrow of 4487 Riverfork Road, Waterloo was arrested, served with warrants charging him with Knowing and Willful Abuse of a Vulnerable Adult and with Two Counts, Possession of a Controlled Substance. Deputy Brewington states in one warrant that on March 19th the defendant abused a vulnerable wheelchair-bound adult that he is caretaker for by picking her up and throwing her to the floor, causing an injury to her head. Mr. Morrow is also accused of being in illegal possession of 18 Alprazolam and 7 Clonazepam Tuesday at his Waterloo home. He was being held in the Johnson Detention Center pending arraignment on the charges today.
