A man was arrested by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office last night in connection with alleged fondling of a child last fall. 30-year-old David Allen Ward Jr. of 28707 Highway 76 East, Clinton is charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor Under Age 11. Deputy Bobby Galarza alleges that between September 10 and November 10, 2012 the defendant engaged in sexual battery with a minor by fondling the victim over her clothing. Mr. Ward was being held in the Johnson Detention Center, pending arraignment on the charge.
