Waterloo Man Accused of Meth Lab in Cross Hill

 A Waterloo man has been charged in connection with manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine. The Sheriff’s Office yesterday arrested 27-year-old Joey Alton Ashley of Milam Heights, Waterloo on Charges of Manufacturing and Illegal Disposal of Meth at a Cross Hill location yesterday, and with Distribution of Meth last Wednesday.

 Narcotics Investigator Matt Veal states that on March 13th Joey Alton Ashley did distribute a quantity of methamphetamine to a confidential informant working with the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office. Lt. Robert Wilkie states that on March 20thJoey Ashley had in his possession items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine at 405 Billy Leopard Road, Cross Hill, and also that he illegally disposed of methamphetamine waste yesterday at that location. 

Joey Ashley was being held in the Johnson Detention Center for arraignment today.
