Red Devil Pride

The auditorium at Clinton High School was filled with resounding applause during last night’s meeting of the Laurens County School District 56 Board of Trustees when District Superintendent Dr. David O’Shields announced that the Clinton High Science Olympiad Team had won the state championship.  For the 5th consecutive year the top team in South Carolina’s Science Olympiad was the Clinton High Red Devils.

So, the Clinton High team will now join the Bell Street Middle School, both of them state champions as they represent South Carolina in May at the National Science Olympiad at Wright State University near Dayton, Ohio.

It would appear that it is now known across the state of South Carolina that the road to the Science Olympiad championship, whether middle school or high school, comes through Clinton.
