City & County Execute Search Warrant

   Laurens Police were joined by members of the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office SORT team at 12:30 yesterday afternoon in executing a search warrant at 805 Laurens Terrace Apartments, which was listed as a residence of 22-year-old Bobby Tribble III. Detective Sgt. Tony Lynch states that during execution of the search warrant a quantity of c rack cocaine was found in the upper bedroom of Tribble’s residence. Tribble was arrested and placed in the county detention center. Warrants were obtained and served, charging him with Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Distribute and with Possession with Intent within Proximity of a School. Detective Walter Bentley states that the defendant had in his possession of quantity of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, and that this was discovered during execution of a search warrant yesterday at 805 Laurens Terrace Apartments. The warrant also states that the defendant has a prior drug conviction. Detective Bentley states the apartment is within a half mile of the Sanders Head Start program. Bobby Tribble III remained in the Laurens County Detention Center overnight, awaiting a bond hearing on the charges today.

Bobby Tribble III had additional Laurens addresses noted on Copeland Street and Lurey Street.

  Laurens Police report that at the time the search warrant was being served yesterday, another individual gave officer’s false information. 24-year-old Westley Jerel Williams of 421 Plus Court, Laurens was charged with Giving Officer’s False Information, in a ticket issued at 12:40 pm by Detective Tony Lynch. Westley Williams was placed in the Johnson Detention Center, then released later yesterday after posting a $465 personal recognizance bond.
