Laurens City Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart on East Main at 8:10 last night on a report of vehicle vandalism. A 17-year-old female said that a 19-year-old male had thrown the contents of a dip cup onto her grandfather’s Burgundy Ford Mustang. This reportedly caused a mixture of saliva and tobacco juice to spill all down the sides of the vehicle. Lt. Jared Hunicutt made a traffic stop on the young man at the 127 By-Pass entrance to Wal-Mart. The subject reportedly indicated he was retaliating from the victim doing the same thing to his vehicle the night before. He was explained that he should have filed a complaint with police on that matter, rather than take the action he allegedly did. 17-year-old Ethan Alan Bevins of 391 Smith Road, Laurens was arrested on a Malicious Damage charge and placed in the Johnson Detention Center last night. He was also charged with Trespassing on Wal-Mart property after Notice.
