Doctors Marshall & Hussain Honored for 33 Years

   The Laurens County Health Care System’s Medical Staff was honored last week at a special recognition reception in celebration of National Doctor’s Day, honored for their length of dedicated service to the hospital. The annual Medical Staff Awards Reception honored over 50 physicians and allied professionals, thanking them for their dedicated service to the hospital. Of special note, Dr. Bruce Marshall, general surgeon and Dr. Akhtar Hussain, internal medicine tied for first place in longest length of service to Laurens County Health Care Service. Both physicians joined the Medical Staff 33 years ago. “This special evening puts our Physicians and Allied Health Professionals in the forefront with the acknowledgement of the contributions you make,” President and CEO Rich D’Alberto said. “Their continued focus on providing cutting-edge care to our patients is helping us achieve our goal of becoming the provider of choice in Laurens County.”
