A Greenville man was arrested yesterday by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office in connection with a home break-in and theft in the Kinards area last fall. 20-year-old Gamba Kente Rae of 26 Picardy Drive, Greenville is charged with 1st Degree Burglary and Grand Larceny. Sgt. Scott Franklin states in warrants that on October 3rd, 2012 Gamba Kente Ray entered a dwelling in the 800 address range of Fairview Church Road, Kinards without consent and with intent to commit a crime therein. He allegedly became armed with a weapon once inside the house. He is also accused of taking items valued in excess of $2,000 from the house. Gamba Kente Rae remained in the Johnson Detention Center overnight, pending arraignment on the Burglary and Grand Larceny charges.
