Two Held for Meth Charges After Sunday Night Arrests

    Laurens County Sheriff’s Deputies visited a Booker Street, Joanna residence just after 9 last night and allegedly found items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. Two men were arrested and placed in the County Detention Center, pending warrants to charge them with Manufacturing Methamphetamine and with Illegal Disposal of Methamphetamine Waste.

   One of the men is 30-year-old Sylvester “Trey” Ferguson III of 103 Booker Street, Joanna. In addition to being held for multiple drug charges, he was served with a Bench Warrant that cites Failure to Appear in General Sessions Court September 19, 2011 to face charges of Strong Armed Robbery. Ferguson was also served with warrants charging him with Robbery 2nd Degree and Petit Larceny from an alleged crime this past December. “Trey” Ferguson is accused of entering a dwelling on Carver Street, Joanna on December 20, 2012 and taking away a washer and dryer valued at $200. Sylvester Ferguson III remained in the Johnson Detention Center earlier today, with drug warrants pending.

  Also being held for drug charges from Cpl Nick Moye this morning was

29-year-old Demetric Chantrone Conner of 28941 U.S. Highway 76 East, Kinards. He is also expected to be charged with Manufacture of Methamphetamine and Illegal Disposal of Meth Waste.
