The District 55 School Board this week recognized representatives from the district’s schools that were winners in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math competition that was held at Clinton High School last December. At Monday night’s school board meeting, the board recognized students from District 55 who won first place in three of the four grade levels involved in the competition. District science fair winners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for the three participating grade levels were also announced. Trustees and the superintendent presented certificates to the winners of both events, along with representation from the Laurens Commission of Public Works, which assists with the participation.
