Summerville Duo Charged in Armed Robbery

$100,000 bonds were set yesterday on Armed Robbery charges served on two suspects from Summerville. They’re accused of the late Monday morning Armed Robbery at Laurens Drug Company. 42-year-old Caroline (Carolyn) April Millen of Lakeview Drive, Summerville is accused of taking prescription drugs from the drug store by means of force and violence and while armed with a deadly weapon, a handgun. She was also charged with Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime, with Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, and of Failure to Stop for a Blue Light.

Warrants allege she conspired with a co-defendant in planning the armed robbery, and that when a marked police vehicle signaled for her to stop on Lakeview Drive with lights and siren, she failed to do so.

In fact, she allegedly drove up Interstate 385 with police in pursuit until she lost control of the Buick she was driving while exiting in Simpsonville at a high rate of speed.

Bonds on her four charges total $140,000.

27-year-old Dominic Samuel “Nic” Gibbs, also of Summerville, is facing two charges form Laurens: Armed Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery. He is accused of participating with his co-defendant in taking prescription medicine from Laurens Drug Monday morning. Bonds on his two charges in Laurens total $125,000.

Both Millen and Gibbs are also reportedly wanted by Mauldin police for another drug store robbery there earlier Monday morning.
