The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office served multiple drug charges on a Laurens area man yesterday, following his arrest Tuesday. 51-year-old Curtis Melvin Moore Jr. of 72 AD Drive, Laurens is charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Illegal Disposal of Meth Waste, Possession of Methamphetamine and of Possession of a Firearm during Commission of a Violent Crime. Cpl Nick Moye states that on April 30th Curtis Melvin Moore Jr. had in his possession items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine at 72 A D Drive, Laurens. The Officer further states that Mr. Moore possessed a firearm during the commission of a violent crime at 72 A D Drive. Moore is also accused of possessing less than one gram of methamphetamine at that location, and that he illegally disposed of waste from the manufacture of meth at 72 A D Drive on Tuesday.
Cash or Surety bonds were set on the four charges yesterday totaling $40,000. Curtis Melvin Moore Jr. remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
