LaurensCounty“KidPrint” at 15,000 Kids

Laurens County Sheriff’s Capt. Ted Richardson recently visited the Laurens YMCA Summer Daycare at Laurens Elementary School as part of the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office KidPrint program.
The Child ID “KidPrint” program provides a computer generated copy of the child’s fingerprints, an identification picture, and statistical information about the child who utilizes this service. The information is not kept on file with the Sheriff’s Office but given to the parent or guardian of the child who will have the information readily available for law enforcement should an adversity strike their home. The Sheriff’s Office notes that to date it’s participation in the KidPrint Program has served over 15,000 kids.
