Sgt. Carter of the Laurens County Sheriffs Office responded to an Old Airport Rd. residence yesterday around 9:20pm. Upon arrival he spoke with the victim who stated that his residence was broken into while he was incarcerated. A witness was on scene and stated that she came to the residence on June 4th at approximately noon to take some belongings from the residence due to burglaries in the past. She said she returned to the residence around 4pm to get more belongings and observed items were missing and damage to the back door of the residence. Several tvs, a Nintendo WII, car audio speakers, a printer/scanner, and hand held survelience monitors were missing from the residence. Survelience cameras were also missing from the outside of the residence. The victim was asked to compile a list of any further missing items to be added to the report. Sgt Carter did find pry marks on the side of the back door as well as damage to the door jamb. The incident is being forwarded to investigatons.
