Earlier this week we’ve reported on the arrest of four young Waterloo men, initially by DNR agents on Lake Greenwood, then yesterday we reported on one Grand Larceny charge on each of the four that alleges they stole a Jet Ski from a Waterloo location.
Yesterday afternoon, the Sheriff’s Office released a statement indicating that the four are being charged in connection with a string of thefts in the Waterloo community. The report states that items stolen from residents there include various watercraft, fishing equipment and jet skis. Now charged with Seven Counts of Grand Larceny are 17-year-olds Christopher Adam Barber and Charles Anthony Barber, both of 1916 Dillard Road, Waterloo along with 18-year-olds Justin Ray Marler of 444 Burton Creek Side Road, Waterloo and Dennis Jacob Trent of 290 Flotella Road Extension, Waterloo.
The Sheriff’s Office release indicates that a 5th person is being sought in connection with the theft of items in the Waterloo area. He was identified as 22-year-old Jamie Lee Trent of Greenwood. He is wanted for 7 counts of Grand Larceny. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jamie Lee Trent is asked to call the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office at 864-984-4967, or call Laurens County Crimestoppers at 68-CRIME.
