A woman from the Fountain Inn area reported harassing phone calls with threatening text messages last night. Deputy Devin Hodges responded to the case at 7:50 last evening and met with a woman who said her father’s cell phone was stolen, and now she’s receiving messages from it. Someone is using her father’s phone to text threats to kill her. The case was being forwarded to investigations.
Text Messages were cited in two warrants served on a Clinton man earlier this week. Public Safety on Monday arrested 32-year-old Joel Bronson Robinson of 109 Teakwood Drive, Clinton. He was charged with Harassment in the 2nd Degree and with Criminal Domestic Violence from alleged texting on June 17th. Warrants allege he created fear by sending text messages to the victim causing her to be fearful for her physical well-being. He and the victim have formerly cohabitated for a year and a half. He allegedly texted her and called her numerous times on June 17th.
Robinson was released Tuesday on personal recognizance bonds of $2,000.
