Charges of Burglary and Criminal Domestic Violence are being sought today following a Sheriff’s Office response to a residence in Western Laurens County yesterday afternoon. Somewhere between 4:15 and 4:30 yesterday afternoon a man allegedly broke into a residence just outside Ware Shoals where his estranged wife now lives. He allegedly assaulted her, leaving hand prints on her neck, along with scratches and a black eye. There is already one active case of Criminal Domestic Violence served on the man. In addition to seeking warrants to charge Burglary and Criminal Domestic Violence, Officers will also seek a Malicious Damage charge due to alleged damage to the residence during yesterday afternoon’s break-in. The man was also allegedly in violation of a Trespass notice from the owner of the residence where his wife now lives.
