A man wanted in connection with an Armed Robbery in Clinton on Tuesday was booked by Clinton Public Safety about a half hour after midnight this morning. An alleged co-conspirator, who had been arrested Tuesday afternoon, was served with related charges yesterday.
Clinton Public Safety was holding 17-year-old Eugene Dazanta Kinard of 900 Elizabeth Street, Clinton, who is being charged with Armed Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime and with Pointing and Presenting a Firearm. Eugene Kinard is accused of robbing a man, demanding money while armed with a hand gun Tuesday at 100 Horne Street, Clinton. Kinard was allegedly in possession of a black and gray semi-automatic handgun during commission of the violent crime of Armed Robbery and also allegedly pointed the handgun at the victim of the Armed Robbery.
Eugene Dazanta Kinard was being held in Clinton City Jail this morning, pending arraignment on the charges.
The suspect who was charged yesterday with Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery was 17-year-old Zikevious Aman Rice of 7387 Highway 308, Laurens; who is also known as “Armond.” He is accused of planning and scheming the Armed Robbery with Eugene Kinard, and with allegedly breaking into a woman’s residence on Davidson Street on Tuesday after the commission of an Armed Robbery without the owners consent. Rice was not charged with Armed Robbery.
Bonds were set yesterday totaling $12,500 on the two charges. Zikevious Aman Rice was placed in the Johnson Detention Center where he remained this morning.
