A man Laurens City Police arrested on two Forgery charges earlier this week is now being held for authorities in Georgia. 45-year-old John David Latimore Jr. of 1255 Stagecoach Road, Laurens is now also charged with being a Fugitive from Justice. A warrant states that evidence was presented yesterday that John David Latimore Jr. is a fugitive from justice from the state of Georgia where he is charged with a crime that carriers a penalty of one year of more in prison. No Bond was set on the charge. Latimore was being held pending extradition.
The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office yesterday arrested another man wanted by out-of-state police. 21-year-old Dustin Joseph Peurifoy of 110 Kelly Road, Cross Hill was charged with being a Fugitive from Justice. It is alleged he is wanted in North Dakota for a crime punishable by a year or more in prison. Dustin Peurifoy remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
