Charges ranging from Carjacking to Burglary and Grand Larceny were served on a Fountain Inn man following his arrest Friday. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Thomas Preston Jenkins of 200 Valley View Road, Fountain Inn on charges of Carjacking and Pointing and Presenting a Firearm. He’s accused of pointing a firearm at a victim on Hunts Bridge Road on July 9th, and of attempting to take a vehicle from a victim on Hunts Bridge road, Fountain Inn that date while armed.
The Sheriff’s Office further charged Thomas Jenkins with 1st Degree Burglary and Grand Larceny from activities also on July 9th. Lt. Keith McIntosh states in warrants that Thomas Preston Jenkins entered a dwelling on Thompson Road, Fountain Inn on July 9th without consent and with intent to commit a crime therein, at night and/or while armed with a deadly weapon. The officer further alleges that Jenkins took jewelry, guns and electronics valued at approximately $3,200 from that residence.
Bond for Thomas Jenkins was denied. He remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
