Two Arrested for Alleged Scrap Metal Theft

 Deputy Sheriff Michael Crockett was dispatched to Templeton Road in reference to the suspected theft of metal materials. A complainant had indicated two individuals in a pickup truck were seen loading metal into the back of the truck from property behind Angel’s Bail Bonding. The individuals were reportedly located with a red pickup which had scrap metal in the bed. Deputies discovered indication of metals being removed from the area.   A 1999 GMC Sonoma pickup was seized by the Sheriff’s Office. 

 Both individuals were arrested and placed in the Johnson Detention Center.

44-year-old Tommy Lee Gaffney of 171 Kathy Drive, Clinton was being held for warrants. 17-year-old Malcolm Issiah Robinson of 134 Kathy Drive, Clinton was served with a warrant charging him with Petit Larceny. The warrant alleges he took items valued at $100 from the Templeton Road location yesterday. He was being held for arraignment on the charge.
