Two Woman Charged with Meth Manufacture

   The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested two Laurens women yesterday on methamphetamine manufacturing charges in connection with alleged activity at a Clinton area location.

49-year-old Patricia Von Gander Roberts of 2001 Highway 221 South, Laurens was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense.

Deputy Crockett states that Patricia V. Roberts did have in her personal possession yesterday items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine at 525 Madden Road, Clinton. A $20,000 surety bond was set on the manufacturing charge during arraignment. Patricia Roberts remained in the Johnson Detention Center earlier this morning.

45-year-old Jacquelyn Amy Harlan of 2053 Welon (Whelon) Road, Laurens was charged with Manufacturing of Meth 1st Offense and with Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance with intent to Distribute.

Deputy Michael Crocket states that Ms. Harlan did have in her possession items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine yesterday at 525 Madden Road, Clinton. In a second warrant, he states that Ms. Harlan was in possession of Clonazepam yesterday at 525 Madden Road, Clinton, with intent to distribute. Bonds were set yesterday on the two charges totaling $40,000. Jacquelyn Harlan remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
