The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Laurens area man Friday for allegedly attempting to murder three people in an incident on August 4th. 27-year-old Randy Alexander James of 31 East Patton Road, Laurens was charged with Three Counts of Attempted Murder, plus one count each for Discharging a Firearm and Possession of Weapons during Commission of a Violent Crime.
The Attempted Murder warrants alleged that on August 4th he attempted to murder three people by shooting at them while they were in a vehicle on Highway 49, Laurens. Other warrants alleged he discharged a firearm into a vehicle which was occupied by a victim on Highway 49, Laurens on August 4th, and that he knowingly and willfully possess and display what appeared to be a firearm during commission of a violent crime.
Bond was denied on the charges during arraignment. Randy Alexander James of Laurens remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
