Attempted Murder Suspect In Custody

A man wanted in connection with a shooting in Laurens early last Wednesday morning is now in custody. 19-year-old Kaheri Quintarius Allen of 106 HollandHill, Laurens reportedly turned himself in to a Sheriff’s Deputy last night. Laurens City Police have warrants prepared to charge Mr. Allen with Attempted Murder and with Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime. Detective Tony Lynch states that Kaheri Quintarius Allen shot another man in the abdomen on August 14th at 510 Hunter’s Court. Another warrant alleges Allen used a pistol in the shooting.

  Laurens City Police were dispatched on the shooting at1:19last Wednesday morning and found the victim slumped over in a car with a gunshot injury to his stomach. Officers were told that four people were sitting around the kitchen table playing cards at the Hunter’s Court address when the subject and victim had an argument over a past statement of the victim when Mr. Allen allegedly pulled out a pistol and fired, then left the house through a front door. Kaheri Quintarius Allen was being held this morning in theJohnsonDetentionCenter.
