Laurens City Police added charges on a local woman yesterday following her arrest by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office. 51-year-old Robin Dial Kent of 2009 Rabon Road, Laurens was served with a Bench Warrant which cites a March 5th, 2013 conviction in Magistrate’s Court for Petit Larceny. Balance still due on the sentence imposed back in March is $154.50 or 30 days in jail. Meanwhile, Laurens Police served a warrant charging Robin Kent with Attempt to Purchase Ephedrine. Detective Leann Riggott states that Robin Kent Dial attempted to obtain a quantity of non-prescription ephedrine totaling more than 9 grams in a 30-day period, in an incident that allegedly occurred at Rite Aid, 501 North Harper, on March 13th. Earlier today, Ms. Kent was still awaiting arraignment on the new charge from Laurens Police.
