Man & Woman Allegedly Assault His Brother

Laurens County Deputy Sheriff Jeremy McMahan was dispatched to Dragon Trail east of Laurens at 10:14 last night on report of a fight in progress. While en route to the scene, the officer was advised by dispatch that one man had cut another with a knife during the altercation. Deputy McMahan arrived on the scene and placed Trinity Patterson in custody. His brother reportedly had several cuts over his chest and arms and some abrasions on his legs. The officer was told that the subject and his girlfriend had both assaulted the victim because he would not get drugs for them. 38-year-old Jeremy Trinity Allen Patterson of 55 Dragon Trail was placed in the Johnson Detention Center, where he was being held pending a warrant. Deputy McMahan was to seek a charge of Aggravated Assault for the alleged assault on his brother with a knife. Trinity Patterson reportedly had a cut to a finger which he said happened from a guitar his brother had. 41-year-old Melissa Kay Thomas, also of 55 Dragon Trail, was issued a ticket charging her with Assault and Battery 3rd Degree at 8:50 last evening. She reportedly had a “busted nose” which she indicated came from impact by a mayonnaise jar. Witnesses at the scene reportedly indicated Trinity and Melissa began the altercation with his brother. EMS checked all the injuries, but all refused to be transported to the hospital.
