A man arrested by Clinton Public Safety on Drug charges Saturday night has also been charged from an alleged domestic assault on Friday. Clinton Public Safety arrested 19-year-old Brandon Sherfield of 316 Beauregard Street, Clinton Saturday night, charging him with Criminal Domestic Violence, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance and with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was initially issued a ticket charging him with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia at 10:19 Saturday night on Beauregard Street. A warrant was issued charging him with having a smoking pipe in his possession Saturday on Beauregard Street which contained synthetic marijuana, a Schedule II controlled Substance, at 316 Beauregard Street. Sherfield was also served with a warrant accusing him of assaulting the mother of his infant child on Friday. He is accused of striking the victim several times on the side of her face with a closed fist and of putting his hands around her neck, choking her. Brandon Sherfield was released Sunday afternoon on Surety bonds including $3,628 on the two drug charges and $2500 on the Domestic Violence charge.
