A Laurens man who was arrested Saturday has been charged by two local law enforcement agencies. 23-year-old Johnathan O’Neal Fields of E6 at 900 Church Street, Laurens was charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute by Fountain Inn Police, accused by Officer Joshua Peden with possessing marijuana in a clear cellophane baggie in Fountain Inn Friday. A $20,000 cash or surety bond was set on that charge.
The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office charged Johnathan Fields with Assault and Battery 3rd Degree, alleging he struck a woman on her head, injuring her forehead, in an incident this past March 5th at Fox Creek Mobile Home Park at 491 Chapman Road, Fountain Inn. A $1,092 personal recognizance bond was set on the Assault charge.
Johnathan Fields remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
