Sixth Person Charged with Monday Meth Manufacture

    A 6th person has now been charged with Methamphetamine Manufacture this past Monday on Kellett Road in the Hickory Tavern community. Two men were initially arrested Monday on charges of Manufacturing Meth and Illegally Disposing of Methamphetamine Waste. A husband, wife and son from the alleged site were arrested Tuesday on both charges. Another suspect was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office yesterday. 

18-year-old Jeremiah Charles Deaton, a High School student from 153 Berry Road, Pelzer, was charged yesterday with Manufacturing Methamphetamine within a half mile of Hickory Tavern School. Cpl Nick Moye states in a warrant that Deaton had items in his possession Monday used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine at 252 Kellett Road. Jeremiah Deaton remained in the Johnson Detention Center overnight, pending a bond hearing today.
