A barn break-in dispatched Laurens County Deputy Jamie Lee Edwards to Britton Circle, Gray Court just after 10:30 yesterday morning. A man said that sometime during the night someone had broken into his barn and rambled through some cabinets, taking some items. He noted items taken included a socket-set of tools he uses in maintenance of his tractor and other equipment. A white and brown pet rabbit was also stolen from its cage inside the barn. The tool set and rabbit together were valued at $145. The remains of a smoked cigarette apparently left behind by the thief was located near the door to the barn and taken into evidence.
